Apple Valley, I Fell Even More in Love With You

The votes are counted. The race is over. But the people I met on every doorstep in District 56A — strong, principled, deeply decent Minnesotans — made this the most meaningful chapter of my life. That does not end today.

Apple Valley, I Fell Even More in Love With You

The votes are counted. The race is over. And I want to say something that I mean with every part of me:

Apple Valley, I fell even more in love with you.

Not in spite of this campaign — because of it. Because of every door we knocked, every conversation we had, every family that invited us onto their porch and gave us a few minutes of their day. You are strong people. Principled people. Deeply decent people. And you deserve a leader who will stand up for what is right and demand accountability from those who hold power over your lives.

I am grateful beyond words.

What This Campaign Was

Running for Minnesota House District 56A was never about a title. It was about a conviction — that the people of this community are not being heard, not being served, and not being told the truth about what is being done in their name at the State Capitol.

We knocked thousands of doors. We stood in the cold and the heat. We sat at kitchen tables and talked about property taxes, school curriculum, public safety, and the quiet erosion of the freedoms that make Minnesota worth fighting for.

Every one of those conversations mattered. Every one of them still does.

On the People Who Voted the Other Way

I want to say something about my neighbors who cast their votes for the other side — because I know most of them.

They are not bad people. They are good people. Trusting people. People who believe in fairness and community and taking care of one another — values I share completely.

But I believe, with deep sincerity, that their good natures are being taken advantage of. The Democratic Party that many of them grew up with — the party of JFK, of working families, of a strong and sovereign America — is not the party on the ballot today. What has taken its place is something far more radical, far more ideological, and far less interested in the actual well-being of the Minnesotans it claims to represent.

The hard-left turn is real. The influence of socialist and hard-left ideological movements inside the modern Democratic coalition is documented and growing. And the people who are going to pay the price for that are not the party insiders — they are the good, trusting voters who believed the label on the box.

I do not say this with bitterness. I say it with concern. Because we are all on this bus together, and the direction it is heading matters to every family in Apple Valley.

What Comes Next

Losing an election does not end the obligation to tell the truth.

If anything, it clarifies it.

I am not going anywhere. This community is my home. These issues are real. And the work of holding our elected officials accountable — of paying attention, asking hard questions, and refusing to simply trust that the professional political class has our best interests at heart — that work belongs to all of us, every single day, whether there is an election on the calendar or not.

Watch. Read. Ask questions. Stay engaged. Do not hand the wheel to people who have not earned your trust and then look away.

Thank You

To my volunteers — you gave your time, your energy, and your belief. I will never forget it.

To my family — you gave me everything.

To every voter in District 56A who opened their door, read our mail, visited our website, or simply thought carefully before casting their ballot — thank you. That is democracy working the way it is supposed to work.

The conversation is not over. It is just beginning.

For Apple Valley. For Minnesota. For what is right.
